Hey all,

This is my first track I've posted here because really I feel that it had to be good before feedback was needed.

A little bit about myself, been making beats since around April or so now, just a few months really but loving every moment of it.

Anyways, here's my track. Please give me your advice.

Cheers!

Ok cool first track mate - my only thing would be it needs some variation maybe use another synth sound or something

Alright, cheers mate. I'll have a play about.

When you say a different synth do you mean to create a contrast between what is the main theme of the song and a different part.

Peace

You may realise house ain't my bag - but it sounds to me a bit monotous for the genre so something to contrast after the first break maybe

This is actually pretty well put together, I like the vibe going on. Love the bass sound and riff. I would work on transitions/breaks/drops. Good stuff though man. Congrats.

i think this is pretty good, it needs more balance to the mix but this could be a b side for a label like 20/20 vision when properly mixed and tightened up

"Sounds" really good.. but definitely needs a bit of work. Fair play.

Really like that Babe Ruth track - Love the synths in it.

Obviously a different style there.. but I'd love to hear a version of it where the beats were a bit more Tech-House-y.

Also - Like the riser in the Strimpy Track.. Nice the way you have it rising & falling. Interesting melody in it as well. You seem to have a flair for making that type of sound compared to the style of house that you have in the link.. but maybe thats just my tastes coming out! LOL

What sorta stuff do you listen to / get inspired by?

Thanks for all the awesome replies. I really appreciate it and will take into consideration everything that has been said here, thank you!

I agree with the drops and breaks needing a bit more 'oomph' in them completely, as well using the vocals to add a different atmosphere to it because I think the music dominates the vocals too much right now.

@ICN. I just thought I was making house man with the way I do it. I'll be honest with you the strimpy track was semi-built around a SA video but the other 2 have been made from scratch.

I find a lot of inspiration from the oldschool boys like derrick may, todd terry, mr.fingers, 808 state, richie hawtin, laurent garrnier etc. The only thing that really catches my attention with new music is minimal/techno. It's just outclassing everything at the moment IMO.

How about yourself?
