bobby lupo (30/07/2010) [quote]jon_fisher (30/07/2010) don't really know what you mean but sylenth1 has one of the best sounds for a softsynth + Fantastic Effects + easy to use + flexible + reasonably priced + huge bank of 1400 + presets.
a simple synth that sounds good would be
Arturia MiniMoog V (not the modular version if you want simplicity)
MiniMonsta
Massive (looks scary but its very simple and routing is simply drag and drop)
Strobe
don't really know anymore that sound as good as sylenth and are as easy to program as sylenth, from the list above i would say that massive is probably the only one that will also cover the same range of sounds as sylenth.actually all the synths you mentioned cover more of a range of sounds than sylenth
scrap that lol

you obviously caught my short sighted reply lol
I probably don't know what the hell I'm talking about, You probably
don't know what the hell I'm talking about but together we will get
there........

IMO Sylenth is good but not good enough for me .
I mean with Sawer i can route at least 3 or 4 instances of sawer and get richer and better sounds than Sylenth ( Bouncing to audio then using a sampler of course)
the only thing is that i use a sampler for it since it lacks LFOS and modulation features .
but that depends in what you want to do .

surely that works on the flip to ??? if you route 3-4 sylenths you'll then get a richer sound than sawer.

if you want something that's different or more interesting you could go for Motu MX4 (mac only) or Native Instruments FM8.
Depends on what you want it for.
for different sounds then D.cam is the best sounding vst i've heard its also got a huge scope with fusor.
