Actually I am not a fan off any of those genre titles but hey your reading this 
I and my partner in crime were just chatting and we decided that it was time for us Techno heads to fight our corner and say gawd damn it its time we had a proper techno tutorial
Now I would be the first to admit the difficulty of this as Techno is more about breaking the boundaries and creating something new – but how about a set of techniques for example how to create a Ben Klock kick, how to keep percussion loops fresh as illustrated in practically every minimal track out there. And How to nail low gliding subby basslines with abstract sounds providing the hooks.
The Techno sound is a lot more open & groove based than before. There should be an update to the ground covered in the earlier Tuts.
All Genres - Minimal, Techno, House, Tech House & even a little bit of Prog are cross pollinating one another.. and it would be useful to find out more about the programming of Midi for Perc, Hats & Basslines, as well as the FX and settings that make up the modern Tech Sound.
So for all the techno heads here since the other Techno thread is actually dead, we thought that we could have our own little corner here to help each other out and post tracks we think are interesting enough to have a tutorial or even one of us can try helping each other
And to kick it off just for the fun of it a legend in own life time

I'll support this as I'm a techno head but we have recently had a tutorial and it was hard enough getting that one done, so I can't see anything happening soon.
Although we might be able to push for some "get that sound" tuts!

Great Idea! LOL  Know what - I think we should have 1 rule for this Thread. That there should be a cut-off point in terms of the music. Last 5 years? If anyone disagrees, thats cool.. post whatever ye think - but myself personally, I'd like to get an insight into the stuff we're hearing now. Even stuff with older influences has a modern production feel to it. The last Techno Tut was cool.. but we need to advance it a bit into where its going into the next decade  Thats why I'll be checking & including the release date on everything that I post.

| I find that I cant embed Vids off YT unless I: 1.Copy the embed code from YT 2.Write my Text as normal in the Reply on SA. 3.Hit "HTML" at the bottom of the reply (Its just above Post Reply) 4.Paste. 5.Hit Preview & you'll see it.

| I've posted this before. Format B RMX of Florian Meindl's Blast From 2009ish.. I think. Just running out the door & its the 1st thing I thought of - especially for the synth riser that is actually the main hook of the tune. Would love to see something that covers how to "play" a sound like that. Will post more stuff later C'mon Egg2! LINKS PLEASE!!
