You have a nice little tune building there - I know its been said before and probably be said again - listen to an artist you like an analuse what they do and how they make their transitions, breaks etc etc
I use Ableton and load a track I like and play it over and over marking what sounds and effects they use
Hope that helps a little

| Is the relatively quiet, low-sounding instrument that starts at the first drop a bassline?

| I've been having LOT's of fun jamming in Live & Logic recently. have you ever loaded up your files in Live & played / launched scenes?
I've got each scene assigned to one of 16 drumpads & got all the faders going on my Midi Kboard. All the mutes are from F1 on.. Nice just messing around. Before you know it, you've go a nice "unique" arrangement. Its great to get away from the sequencer & feel the vibe again. You loose something clicking a mounse. Go back in & edit after. Make the project save as "..... 2x" & work away.

i'd definitely add some kind of delay on your stabby sound, automate the wet/dry of the delay throughout the track to build it up, etc. dig the track though. i can't get enough of minimal house, haha.

Hey Chris,
I've had a chance to listen to it now. There's a good idea here but it's got no change in energy throughout the track. Essentially it feels like there's a group of good 8/16/32 bar loops that you blend together well, mostly with the white noise gun and some auto filtering.
I'd def get more reverb and delay in there and automate it to help the energy levels build/drop. I'd make sure that your percussion has the odd fill every now and then - after 8 bars say - to help transitions. I'd drop some perc out and bring it back again to help flow. Dropping the kick for a bar helps. Or even dropping everything out except the delay echo of the melody for one bar then slamming it back in again helps energy changes.
There's a good idea here it just needs to be worked.

thanks for the feedback dudes
i agree about automating some delay and reverb and putting some fills in etc to build energy and stop it been so repetative
i still feel it needs more though maybe another main element and more perc or is less more????
gonna try find a similar tune to compare like slender said and go through all my sample packs to see what else i can chuck in and get a updated version on soon..........
