ANA 64-Bit causing Ableton Live 9.7.1 to crash on OS X

Hey,

after a fresh install of ANA 64-Bit on a new Mac, Ableton Live keeps crashing on start up. On restarting, the plugin gets deactivated, while a rescan from the program’s preferences window crashes the DAW again.
I’m running Live 9.7.1 64-Bit on OS X Yosemite 10.10.5.
The Mac is a Mac mini (late 2012).

So far I had no problem running a similar configuration with the same OS and Live version on a MacBook Pro (early 2011).

Is both the AU AND VST crashing?

Thanks for your reply, Phil. The AU wouldn’t crash, but didn’t show the synth GUI after dropping it on a track.

Yet I just stumbled upon the solution to my problem, while looking for differences between the two system configurations:
By default, the name of the system SSD on the Mac mini started with an “” char. After changing its name and removing the special character, ANA (both VST and AU) is working like a charm. No more crashes, everything’s as it should be :smiley:!!

Good to know… I think we’ve come across that issue before.
