[FIXED] Kickstart - "The license file could not be parsed"

Hi all,

Last week I bought Nicky Romero Kickstart on cableguys.com. I downloaded the installer and the license from that website. After installing the v1.0.9. 64-bit version, I dragged it from the Studio One 5 browse section into my drum kit bus. Then I get the option “Choose License File”

When I upload the license-file or the zip-file, I keep getting this pop up:

I got in contact with cableguys, com and they asked me to:

  • use the latest full version (done!)
  • choose the .lic file (done!)
  • if that doesnt work, choose the .zip file (done!)
  • try with both 32-bit and 64-bit version of the plugin (done!)
  • then they sent me an e-mail with an attached license file (done!).

That didn’t work out either.

I will wait for an answer from cableguys.com, but maybe in the mean time, there someone here who faced this issue or knows what’s going on…?

Thanks in advance!

Never mind!!! My bad, I got it working right now, moved the dll file to another location on my hard drive and it worked.

Likely looking as this was a read/write permission issue in the folder where the license file was first placed.

Thanks for the update and feedback on this, could be useful for other users indeed

Just a little note to let you know : post those in the more general Technical Support topic if possible, the Plugins topic is for S.A plugins only, I have moved your post in the right category now
