View Course

This week we’re bringing you an absolute epic monster of a track with a brand new tutor, and proudly welcome multi-genre DJ/producer/performer Chris Adams aka AHEE who’ll take you on a bass heavy journey in How To Make Nu Bounce.

In this huge 24 video, 4-hour course you’ll get to master some awesome sound design techniques using Kick 2 and Serum, learn some super slick editing tricks during the arrangement section, and finish off by perfecting your mixing and mastering skillz, all while watching a true expert of this genre at work.

The end result is a massive, bass growling, floor filler that, with the right speakers, will literally blow you away!

Known for his high-energy/bass-focused Nu Bounce & Breaks tracks, AHEE’s Next Level EP, released through KJ Sawka’s Impossible Records label in 2016, reached #1 on the Beatport Breaks chart and held the position for three weeks. If it’s the Nu Bounce thang you wanna get to grips with, this is one you’re not gonna want to miss!

But that’s not all!

Also with this course, we are running another fantastic remix competition! - The How To Make Nu Bounce Remix Contest is exclusive, here on Sonic Academy and you could be in with a chance of winning some cool prizes and ultimately getting a release on Play Me Records, a Los Angeles-based digital record label founded in 2009 by Reid Speed & Alexander Rosson and voted the Best Dubstep Label of 2010 by Beatport’s Dubstep department and the best-branded label of 2012 on Symphonic Distribution.

After the success of our previous remix competitions, we know we have one of the best music-making communities anywhere, and the level of production skillz coming through the forums is truly amazing.
So, ourselves and AHEE are super excited to see what you guys can come up with - we know you can smash it. You can now download the stems from this awesome tune and start working your magic!
We have shown you how to make the tune, now it’s over to you to get creative, make a dope remix of this track and show the world your production talent.

Just click the ‘Enter Remix Comp’ button above to find out more!

What am I missing? I do not have Ahee Hi Lo Splitter. I do a google search and can find no information.

Really Good

The version on iTunes sounds different. Did this track get remastered before official release? Great tutorial though, and I like his music!

Josh

Hi, I could not find the Hi Low splitter, I made a Hi Low Splitter with the effect rack making 2 chains One chain with High and another chain with Low in the effect rack and added the EQ 8 to the Hi chain and an EQ 8 on the low chain and just adjusted each EQ the same as AHEE so the High chain EQ 8 has highs and the low chain has lows.Remember to put the EQ 8 in the first slot and not to make the EQ 8 global you can tell buy clicking the High and Low chains where it only effects one chain at a time. I think it does the same thing, I am not a pro but seams legit. So it was a lesson in a lesson witch is good, I am only up to the forth lesson and learned heaps already thx.

Great Course so far…Enjoyed the sound design. Especially setting up the template.

You can grab the Hi Lo Splitter from the ALS file - just open it and locate the channel with it on there - then save it out

SO amazing!!! I love this course.

Your tutorial is good but for future Reference you need to do something to Your mic which induces white noise eaxh time you talk.
