How To Make - Progressive House with Jaytech / 520

Good tutorial!

Hey everyone! So I’ll start off by saying this is probably the best tutorial so far I’ve followed along with on the site. Everything is explained really clearly by Jaytech and I think it gives a great understanding for the building blocks of progressive house tracks.

So after working on this tutorial the past few months it kind of turned into something of a hybrid between some synthwave and progressive house. Here’s my take for those of you who wanna check it out:

Thanks again!

Hi guys, any recommendation for smooth organic progressive house ARPs? For example Paul Thomas - Voyte starting with such a smooth arps with huge ECHO. Does anyone know, which synth could sounds “round”, “organic”, “smooth”? Spire, Serum, Ana, Dune etc. sounds too electric / metalic to mee.
Many of anjuna, anjunadeep, FSOE UV, Zerothree tracks have something more organic.
Thanks for any advice!

Use the Ana 1 shape on the filter env of Ana 2 and use the obie filter type to get those sort of vibes

Loved it!

fantastic course !!

Fantastic ! Best course on progressive house yet . Jaytech is a true pioneer of electronic music , just fabulous .

Loving this so far. Quick question - how is JT getting a black border round each clip?

My best guess is that it’s probably because of his Ableton Theme settings and modifying some values like brightness, color intensity & hue in the “Look & Feel” tab from Live’s Preferences.

If you’d like to go further into Live’s customization, check this Ableton Themes website, it’s free, you can download existing themes without being logged in, you just need to create a free user account if you’d like to use the Theme Editor and create your own Theme.

Thanks so much. I’ll have a play. Just to add, about a third of the way through and this tutorial has changed the way I approach my projects. Excellent from Jaytech. He’s well and truly justified my Patreon support!
