Nope I never said I wanted SA to write my tracks for me, where would the fun and enjoyment be in that? I would merely like to be able to learn from other producers. There are more than enough tutorials on here about "add this hat" or "this is how your filter a drum loop" what I was / am looking for was a bit more theory in to WHY he was choosing the various loops and yeah I'm sure he did like them but it does actually go a bit deeper than that as it IS a science and your comment goes to prove whats missing in this tutorial.
I was wondering why he chose the various loops in the track in the context of things like were they creating poly rhythms, syncopation, rhythmic displacement or Metrical Dissonance. You see these are some of the things that make music work and make people like or dislike it, dance or not dance if its not right.... It may be art... but there is a sh*t ton of science in it as well. He didnt just bang a load of loops together because he liked them and.. oh.. how cool.. it actually all works really well together.. what a coincidence.
And as for... "If this were a mixing masterclass" where on earth in my comment did I mention mixing?
