Simply moving your presets folder to another location would allows you to open Kick 2 without any presets.
I've been testing this under mac-OS and have not experienced any warning or crash when opening KICK 2 inside the DAW after doing this ( Live 10 ). In fact after moving the original presets folder from the Kick 2 folder to my Desktop and opening Live and Kick 2 again, I could see that a default presets folder was recreated, but it's an empty one, so you should be good to go for testing that way. Maybe it's something to try in order to see if this could be coming from the presets.
Also check the spelling of that folder ( P capital or not as the initial, I've seen this causing problems as well, especially on mac_OS where case-sensitive HDD formatting and Files Permission can often give problems ).
You'll find other topics on the forums mentioning that, use the search feature on the top-right page.
The KICK 2 Presets folder path is as following ( just back it up if unsure before doing it, but moving it from this location is an easy temporary solution to test that ) :
mac-OS Path : YourHDDname/Library/Application Support/Sonic Academy/Kick 2/presets
( we are talking about the main Library here, not the user one )
Win Path : c:\programdata\sonic academy\kick 2\presets
