Welcome to Tech Tips Volume 39!

This week we welcome brand new tutor Austin Hull - hailing from Orlando, Austin has made his mark in the music industry in a pretty short space of time thanks to hard work and self-determination, and since turning professional 2 years ago he’s already worked with over 300 individual artists and started multiple businesses.

Over these 11 videos, Austin shares his expert knowledge in this ‘Pop Vocals Special’ to help make your vocals shine. From blending just the right amount of reverb and delay, to stereo widening and thickening up your vocals, we also check out a host of simple but effective techniques and effects to create a ton more interest in your vocal line. Add vocoders, vocal harmonies, and glitched up vocal chops to the mix and you’ll turn the mundane into something far more creative!

The beauty of these awesome tips is that they aren’t just limited to vocals, and can be applied to synth lines, drums, FX, just about anything, so go check it out!

Great course, lots of great ideas. Thank you!

I’ve heard that drop out stutter before - it sounds like a small buffer size in the ASIO driver, possibly. Maybe try cranking that to maximum during times like screen capture. I usually use the smallest value possible for performing and switch to the largest while editing, especially near the end of completing a project where a lot of plugins are running. I hope this helps. The tutorial has helped me. Thanks, good job.

Very interesting, thanks for sharing!

Really useful course, Austin, thanks.
