I personally think anything used here, or anywhere for that matter should be viewed at as a grain of salt. How I view ANY tutorial is how I view sitting down with any big producer or friend that has years under his belt. I don’t necessarily care to know how they did something, but I love to watch their technique or workflow. You will pick up these techniques on bass creation and arrangement, and fit them into your OWN style. This shouldn’t be a “how to make (insert genre here)” video series. To me its a “pick this guys brain and see how he works” series. Regardless if I’m making Trance, or Gabber. There is a possibility that I can use one of the techniques in these tracks in my style of music. And, if it wouldn’t work 100%, then maybe I can apply it to something I am working on to give it a little more personality. Instead of using the videos as a bible to how to sound a specific way, why not use the techniques to develop your own sound.
