I’m not sure about making it from scratch but I’m sure I remember the same or similar one shot synth sample on the Vengeance Electro Essentials sample CD. Its an old school house stab so bound to be on one of the Vengeance packs!
georgekadar (27/05/2010)
the lead sound from this. that big massive saw type of sound. its gettin really popular in trancey genres of music
starts at 3.54
please get this sound on s.a
Tom Colontonio - Lifetime connection John O'Callaghan Remix - YouTube
Sounds a bit like a square wave layered with a bit of noise and distortion, also probably with a sine wave below it filling out the bottom end.
ppimenta7 (29/05/2010)
Hi guys, ive search all over the site and didnt find anything like this:
Felguk - Buzz Me (Original Mix) - YouTube
The requested sound is the main bass thAt starts at 0:50 s.
Thanks for the materials, you guys r the best
This just sounds like a simple saw wave, layered up a bit and detuned. Also turn the portamento on to get the bendy bass sound.
alinenunez (29/05/2010)
I would like to achieve this old school Chords or stabs for House music . the chords are pretty much in the whole track
Thanks ahead of time SA
Kerri Chandler - Downtown (Dark Mix) - YouTube
These are just Rhodes piano chords which on that try would have been played and recorded from an analogue rhodes synth. You can get free rhodes plugins like the 4Front one which’ll do the job…
yohng.com · 4Front R-Piano
But if you want a more authentic sound, you best of investing in a more high end, rhodes sampled plugin to make it sound more natural.
Bass Sounds Heard in a lot of french style filter disco. Yes, most of it is sampled, but sometimes there is just some sick bass. Here’s some examples:
Alan Braxe and Fred Falke - Intro (Comes In At About 1:20)
Keenhouse - Ari-es (Quinten 909 Remix) (Bass Comes In At About 1:10)
Patrick Alavi - Power (The bass comes in at about 1:52)
All three of these use pretty much the same bass sound, and this is very common for lots of other tracks in this genre. Every bass sound I try always sounds too techy or too middy or on the contrast too filtered down. Perhaps it’s using auto-filters in ableton as well?
I want to reproduce that Fat Bass comin in at 1:38
please please try this one guys!
umek gatex!

I know it’s LFO’d, but what created the sound? Also that sub is pretty epic…
How do you make the drum roll in this bit at 3.28?
Good call…i hope they do this one, not much getn done for these kind of grooves & genre
Bass line that comes in at 1:02, sound & groove would be good
