Modern Techno - New Releases

Been away for the night… Cant wait to listen to these tracks later.

Went to Dublin to see Toots & The Maytals (not very Techno.)

Got really excited as I remembered that Ben Klock was playing - but it was actually last weekend. Damb it… thought I was gonna waltz into that afterwards! :hehe:

especially like the the facing perfection track slender …nice !

This is pretty insane in a minimal way

oh and another - i am sure my neibours are cursing me this afternoon

Loving those 2 last tunes there Slender… Just got to listen to them now Man.

That 1st one wants to be a full on Tech track. Very cool. Say it would destroy a club up loud.

2nd one - Equally cool. Gotta spend a day making samples & then try and put them all in a track.

Would love to see some info on how to use the amount of reverb in a track like these guys do. Thats one of the key ingredients of the new sound.

i would love to see some shizzle like this

Loving that growly bass stab think in it. Very cool Slender - You’re on a roll!

Hey Slender, that second track from The Little was just so good. I think you’re both right about the reverb being a KEY ingredient of this sound. It just adds so much atmosphere.

It’s got to be more than a simple reverb setting on a return chain though right? They must be adding lots of different subtle reverbs to individual instruments and sounds. I know it’s something I’ve started to do on my drum kits to give them more or a real feel. Then maybe a much bigger one on a return chain perhaps? Just speculating.

I suppose you could add all the reverb you wanted in theory… just EQ out the bits you dont want.

But it seems like a real black art. We’re always told not to use too much reverb… its difficult to know where to start

Glad you liked the selection

Reverb is the key - on individual sounds I think

The drums in that one sound quite loop based. All cut up & different… but they have that vibe. Really like the White Noise in it. Great trick to rise it up & cut it for 1 or 2 beats before the start of the next section. Thats my favourite thing to do on a Mixer. Simple & effective. :D

Cool with the different bit of Noise coming in afterwards.

Sorry about this it just made me laugh - reminds me of this forum :stuck_out_tongue:
