Modern Techno - New Releases

Votes are already coming in Guys - Dont forget to send your choice on before Friday.

Please listen to all of the tracks closely & pick something that has the Wow factor all over - not just a bass patch that you want or a synth stab… we’ll all lose out if the most future forward tracks are not picked.

I’ve stuck between 4 at the moment… gonna be hard.

Mimimlist bleepy track

Yeah the Bass is great in that Slam Track isnt it?

I wonder if its the pattern? or is there LFO on the Pitch?

I am thinking the later - but hey what do i know :stuck_out_tongue:

From 2005 Banging

[hr]

LOL

Thats Bhanging

I used to have a Record that had a stoopid huge 808-y kick in it like that. Absoulte belter of a tune. All it was, was a loop & the Guy was just adding the Kick, then Muting it again. So good.

The Neighbours ALWAYS complained when it got played. We were living in the basement, so I’d say everything was ****in jumpin upstairs!

The Kick reminded me when used to go to Eurobeat 2000 in the 90’s and as soon as i heard it, it was time for me to get off the dancefloor as it was really fast 150 BPM tec which I was never really into - or fit enough too dance to if i am honest

Cari Lekebusch - Jon’s Secret Technique

[hr]

God - Havent heard that in a LONG time.

Sounds good now… didnt like it at the time! LOL

Exactly what i thought too

And the march continues

[hr]

This one’s for the man.

From 2006

[hr]

and just cleaned the flat too this

Liking those slender man.

The second one reminds me a lot of the SA ableton techno tutorial. Almost exactly the same perc thing going on.

Skudge - Convolution - 2010

Deep. Love the way the Spring Reverb effect on the snare has been bounced to Audio & then Cut off early. Really cool track.

@Slender - That Minimal*** track , whatever they’re called - Really cool bass.

Love that whole thing about putting the Snare/Clap on 3 or 4 & building the rhythm up around it to chug. It can almost sound like 1.2 Time or a bit D’steppy. Makes the rest of the rhythm sound a lot faster or urgent too, cos its got a bit of breathing space.

@ Saul - That Cheepers track is quality. Really like it. You could probably do something similar with the Arp on your MPK & mess around with the Groove & Note Resolution a bit. Nice how it drives the whole track & keeps your interest without the need for big dramatic explosions all over the place. Cool track. Love the trumpet-y thing on it.

Ok - I’m disqualified for this one - But I’d totally forgotton about it… This would still destroy anything. Bits of this sound so fresh & modern. or is it that the new stuff sounds old? LOL

The Advent - Bad Boy (LUKE SLATER RMX) - 1997

Luke Slater is unreal.

Sandwell District - Variance III 014 - 2009

Love that fkd’up shuffly outta time-ish bass that eventually appears.

Mark Broom, Dustin Zahn - Leave Me Alone (Edit Select vs Gary Beck Remix) 2009

Like the way this develops with the big bitcrushed sound
