Modern Techno - New Releases

Thats a really good track Dan! Love that Pitch pad thing @ the end. Really ominous.

Keep them coming man!!

could not be bothered to read through 14 pages lol but anything techno gets a big thumbs up from me

anything like speedy j,advent, joey beltram, basmooy would be cool i’ll try get some youtube links up when i have more time

to be honest though cant see it being done its not that long ago that we had a techno tut…

Funny coincendence - but I know of 3 of the people that posted on that track that Dan5 posted from soundcloud.

Slender, A Guy called Hefty

& A fella called Shane Flanagan.

He’s from around my area - really young, 19 or 20 & he’s got some really cool tracks on SC. He’s been signed as well for one of his tunes… and they’re really excellent IMO.

They’re on the darker side of Techo / Tech House. Basslines like Dubfire (no bad thing…) and is fond of the ominous audio over the top.

Honestly cant wait to see what he comes up with next cos I think these tracks are as good as, if not better than a lot of the sh!t you see in the Beatport Charts. The tracks have a real personality to them. Fair play.

See what yiz think! :hehe:

Donald Sutherland is great in Kelly’s Hero’s - If you know the Character he played, it was really funny how he said this :hehe:

I know - But I still think that there is so much that has not been covered & could be. Everything changes. I think there is enough different styles in Techno / Tech House etc… that some common ground could be agreed between us all & something done.

BTW… If anyone feels like posting some advice here on how to get a sound or a particular technique featured in any of these clips, please do.

My tiny tip from messing around today:

That glitchy Berghain Perc can be got from using Loops in ableton & dragging the warp markers about. Simple, but absolutely mental sounding. Works cool on Synth & Perc.

Yeah ICN - think in the first post I suggested we post tips as well

…and Chris its more of a sharing post atm then we can put pressure on the powers that be for a techno tut that expores more what is gong on in the tech scene today and tomorrow

Ah I was just messing Man… :hehe:

Yeah, just another thing about that warp markers thing… for anyone who is interested (Cue Massive Boo!)

Tried it on a pretty normal Tech House Perc thing from a Sample Pack & got a really interesting sort of bassline from it.

Select the markers on your bit of audio.

The more you stretch the Marker out, the longer the audio gets & it drops in pitch.

Got a nice Octave drop thing going on that kinda sounded like a bit of effort went into it. Theres a bit of character there too cos you start getting a few artefacts.

No Man… Whats it like?

Whats he like nowadays? Is he still fast BPM & relentless, or has he changed his style a bit?

Years since I seen him / Listened to a Mix :pinch:
