Of course now things get interesting since I just ordered a new laptop to take Ableton to work with me so I can play around during lunch. Let’s hope that this one will be fine. lol

New laptop is awesome. Bought a Namba big studio backpack to carry the APC40, my laptop, the 2i4 and my cables/headset and it’s just a little too big for it all. I’m going to toy with it a bit before replacing anything, but after one run yesterday one of the lights on my APC40 quit turning red when it is supposed to do so. That’s an issue.

My computer: br

As configured through Apple, (without my 27" and 23" monitors): $3300 + ship and tax br
br
My cost as a desktop PC: $600br
br
That’s $2700 more I can spend on equipment, etc. br

Remember that macs are not immune to latency issues. This was a one-off issue related to the bundled software from the motherboard manufacturer. I used to have macs - had over 20 of them at one time, and for a while I used a mac pro tower (dual 2ghz G5) as my primary workstation, but when it came time to upgrade I had to weigh the cost and, since I’m not burdened with an abundance of cash, I chose the cheaper of the two options. br
br
Fwiw, apple doesn’t sell a laptop with the same specs as the one I just bought. Does not exist. br

They do look cool though :stuck_out_tongue:

Gratz on sorting it. I had the same problem with an 8i6 running on asus p8-77v. br
