of course I agree, arrangement is very important. I was just talking about sound design alone, there’s nothing stopping you from doing both is there? I think that’s the key to a good song. Just because you spent a bit extra on getting the sound you want doesn’t mean you have to slack off on arrangement does it?
Also, “you can’t polish a turd” goes both ways, if your sound design is bad then no matter how elaborate and creative your arrangement is, the synths will still be bad haha.

i try to make my own as you get more unique sounds, but i also like layering different presets and editing presets.
