ahhhhh, makes sense now. I used to get 1/4 sticks of dynamite for independence day a few years back. That was fun scaring the crap out of everyone.

Still doing it! JOKE!!  :hehe:

???

Can anyone recommend a free alternative to sylenth that i could use with this tutorial please?

Most Analog synth style VSTs should do the job.

Some people like Synth1, but I’ve not used it myself.

Welcome to the boards btw

Hey Mark, try Ableton’s Operator Synth. That fits perfectly.

Surely not… operator is an FM based synth - Abletons Analog would be better.

Negative sir. If you route it as a subtractive setup, you have a 4 oscillator synth with no FM.

correct

Cool! I didn’t know that either.

Anyways, maybe one of you two (jon / howie) would like to do a short tut (video or text) to explain to the guy who wanted a cheaper alternative to Sylenth, just how exactly he can route it up?

Or not…

lol

No need to do a tutorial dude. Reading the manual will usually do the trick. However, if you cant read, then look at the pretty picture below. You need to pick the little squares that are going straight from left to right. What that algorithm means is that not one oscillator is modulating another and are producing their own output.
