Its funny - If ever I record myself saying something into a Mic, I always put on my “Cool Voice”… Its normally some kind of Big Cool Man Character :w00t:
I’m thinking of doing a couple of things Phil.
I can see how many times all the things I’ve put up on the net have been DL’d - so I’ve got a partial idea of what could be useful…
It might be Jan before I get anything done. I’ve some time off over xmas.
Hey Bang, Just to let you know… I’d definitely buy a pack of “slightly mechanical” sounds.
Stuff like, mechanisms, maybe in doors around the house etc… clicking or pushing shut. Levers / Buttons / Double Glazing Windows / things that have a bit of an internal noise making process to them. Things with springs. Sockets / Switches. Latches and clips.
You know the type of stuff… things that dont just go click - but click pfft chhh clack.
Slightly complex & rhythmical. Stuff thats slightly more interesting than just average ear candy! LOL
Dunno if this has been discussed as well but have you thought of creating (on top of everything else you do!) patches for Sylenth and giving them to subscribers? Another sub incentive.
Mind you we do have a quite a few incentives already.
He said that most people want the patches so that they can use them as is.
I’d say a percentage of people - including most of the people who post here regularly… would normally start watching the vid while fiddling with Sylenth & then 1/2 way through, stop watching the tut & start messing around with it themselves (cos they’ve just got inspired).
Thats what usually happens with me anyway :hehe:
But there are a lot of people who want the patches & probably dont really care about how they were made. For the sake of the Lads hitting “Save as”, it might be a bit of an earner.
I think I’d buy them just to see whats happening. The point is that they are contemporary & its always nice to see how stuff is done.
phil johnston (24/11/2010)
anyone else thinking of having a blast at making some stuff?
I’m sure this will pick up as time progresses as with the video thing and making sound sets and what not, the more people do it the more others follow.
