I have a lot of saved work using ANA 1 for future editing and mastering. If I upgrade to ANA 2, will I lose the ANA 1 presets which would make my sounds useless? My DAW is Ableton Live 9.
ANA 2 is not really an “upgrade”, it was developed from scratch and you can have both plugins running on your system. The only limitation to this is on MacOS where A.N.A 1.5 is not compatible with MacOS 10.15 and above versions.
About presets, ANA 2 and A.N.A 1.5 are not using the same presets system files, so you won’t be able to use your A.N.A 1.5 presets with ANA 2 and will have to recreate them. Filters, Waveforms, attack noise…etc from A.N.A 1.5 have been ported to ANA 2 and allows you to get the same sound.
Thanks Tekalight for this information. Good to know I can still keep using ANA 1.5 as well as ANA 2. This is not a problem for me.
