Taking our courses to the next level, here on Sonic you can now watch the track being made, download both the project and stems and then submit your own remix with the chance to win some great and exclusive prizes.

The How To Make House Remix Contest is exclusive, here on Sonic Academy and you could be in with a chance of winning some cool prizes and ultimately getting a release on the brand new Sonic Academy Record Label!
We know we have one of the best music-making communities anywhere, and the level of production skillz coming through the forums is truly amazing.
So, ourselves along with P-LASK, are super excited to see what you guys can come up with - we know you can smash it. You can now download the stems from this awesome tune and start working your magic!
We have shown you how to make the tune, now it’s over to you to get creative, make an awesome remix of this track and show the world your production talent.

So what’s a contest without a prize eh? Well if your remix of his track is chosen by us, you can win a release on Sonic Academy Records!*
But that’s not all, you will also win a massive £500 + ANA 2 + KICK 2 + House Presets for ANA 2 + Kick 2 and House DNA Sample Pack!

We will also have two amazing runner up prizes.
If you’ve created the second-best remix, you’ll win a £100 Sonic Sounds Store Voucher + ANA 2 + KICK 2.
The third-place wins a £50 Sonic Sounds Store Voucher

Hi, are we able to use samples that come with Ableton Live, such as the 909 drum kit or with 3rd party VSTs that use drum samples? This is in reference to the competition rule below. Thanks.

Yes, as long as you have clearance for the samples you’re using, you can use them

So no worries at all with samples from your DAW library or sample packs you’ve got a license for.

The track you upload via the “Submit Your Mix” link on the Remix Contest Page is your submission & entry for the Remix Competition. You can upload only 1 track, but you can delete/replace your entry as long as the submission is opened. Once closed, your submission is final.

Tip : Do not wait the last minute to upload your remix ! Uploads can take some time !!

Feedback on work in progress is something different that will take place during the Live Show, there will be a different link to upload your track for this, stay tuned & check the House Takeover Event Page and the Week 2 updates

FYI… So I wasn’t able to upload my remix in firefox. In Edge it worked fine…

Just a quick one to say a massive thank you for the recognition! It really took me by surprise especially with all the incredible remixes in the competition. Making that track for the Takeover House, I was inspired by the nostalgic vibes of '90s Italo “Dream” House, was a blast. Your positive feedback means a lot to me, so huge thanks again for that!
