View Course

Back by popular demand, we have a brand new course from the brilliant Owsey this week in How To Make Future Chill 2020.

In this 4 and a half hour epic course, Owsey builds this beautiful, bitter-sweet track from scratch in FL Studio. Packed full of sound design tips and tricks he creates ethereal pads, striking synth parts, incredible unique glitch effects from unassuming foley recordings along with awesome vocals. The processing and production skills on show here are truly mind-blowing and can be used in all sorts of genres and carried across to any DAW.

A true master of his craft, Owsey is both experimental while maintaining a vision of the end result to make it all come together beautifully.

Not to be missed!

Hooray Owsey! Hooray FL Studio! But more importantly, Hooray Owsey! Here again working your magic on sonicacademy.com - everyone should see your intro FL Studio Level 1 and Leve2 courses! Amazing!

Just away to start the level 2 course now. Wish I had this course 5/10 years ago So helpful. .

I watch “tuto 3” and I find it’s well explained ! Good

Thank you Owsey! I used Ableton to go through this course and it was pretty okay. Really appreciate your techniques to achieve certain sounds, FX and transitions. My favourite was Transition sound which you made out of different foley sounds and then used Reaktor Finger.

Does anyone know how to set up a midi out to route the Finger plugin through using Logic? I can’t for the life of me figure it out.

Hi there @xbrett82

Thanks! I was actually watching that video earlier, but I wasn’t sure if it applied to this scenario because a new reaktor instrument is being created on an individual track. I was under the impression I’d add reaktor as a plugin to whatever instrument I am working on and then somehow create a midi out from there. So long as this works and I just bus it to the instrument I am using – that’s a lot easier than whatever I was trying to come up with! I was just confused as to why Owsey didn’t use a bus and take the same approach in his tutorial.
