Garage House with Kissy Sell Out

View Course

Strap yourself in for this one because its a bit of a rollercoaster ride!! Sonic Academy proudly welcomes Kissy Sell Out to take us on a whirlwind tour of his amazing production mind. Kissy continues to be one of the most unique players in the British dance music scene having made his name by mixing records for Gwen Stefani, Calvin Harris, Mark Ronson, Sugababes, Groove Armada, Human League and Chromeo His name exploded across the global festival circuit with his frantic and electrifying DJ style, leading him onto hosting one of the most popular specialists shows in BBC Radio 1 history, the “Kissy Klub”- where he helped break acts such as Diplo, Dillion Frances, Eats Everything, Huxley and Zeds Dead.

Here, he takes us through a V.I.P remix of his massive club banger ‘Sweet Toys’ Very much aimed at those with good basic production knowledge this course moves at a frantic pace but is an amazing insight into unique and brilliant production mind. Starting with building drum loops, adding in the kick and bassline, we then move on to create some wicked DIY FX’s and finally arranging out and creating the breakdown with epic strings and ass shaking subs. All this from a part-time astrophysicist who has debated with Stephan Fry at Cambridge University!

This is a unique course from a unique producer.

Thank you man! I was looking for this for a long time.

I don’t even understand the difference between the house sub genres

I dont think there are any hard and fast rules to sub genres

thanks for this tutorial

I am not finding any of the first few samples anywhere in the resource pack. Am I missing something?

Hi @botsone What samples are you missing and I will check for you.

I was going to follow along with the tutorial and the first two samples he loaded in the 3rd tutorial (ST sidechain kick & example beat,) were not in the resources. I didn’t get any further than that, but if the first two samples are missing, I imagine others are as well. It would be nice if we could follow along with all the same samples. Thanks for your time btw, this site is great!

Dope!!

Hands down…Incredible.

If your missing samples guys why don’t you just…ummmmm. Substitute them.

Interesting ideas, the effects especially and really useful presets too.

Brilliant tutorial! Where do you get your vocals. Do you get someone to produce custom vocals for you after the track is made?

nice tutorial
