HI fellow sonic academy users
had a very noob question to ask … see basically i have seen a lotta people doo live … but when thr are 2 people who are doin live wat exactly are they doin ?? i mean 2 mac runnin on ableton both of them using controller … soo jus wanted to knw wat is the role of each of them … as in is one person playin tracks thru ableton and other one jus givin fx ?? like recently i saw these 2 guys doin live … one was runnin ableton and using native ins MASCHINE controller and oother one using ableton aswell and had a AKAI mpc 49 controller … basically i jus want some idea’s on how doo 2 people do a live set 
call me stupid or a noob … but jus wanted to knw … i won’t knw if i wont ask rite

The thing is, there is no correct or exact way of doing things, it’s very similar to the respect of 2 DJs using 4 decks and a 4 channel mixer. You can all be implimenting loops, samples, tunes, FX at the same time.

i found myself in a club last year and they were playing , it was weird because it was a techno gig and all of a sudden there was the cheesiest music ive ever heard and also after hearing their fromunder cheese efforts everyone in the club sounded like they had been given helium hahaha:D

think you’ll find that’s the case with most two or more people act, one is the “Act” and the other is the tecn-boff
