2C Aether

I’m having trouble automating parameters in Ableton w/ 2C aether. When I click on a parameter on the VST, i.e. D/W, it doesn’t show up in the automation control chooser on the track i have it on. If I click any other parameter on another vst, i.e. sylenth, the parameter pops up under the track name and then I’m free to automate. No matter which parameter I click on aether, abletons automation does not respond to it. Anyone know how to fix this?

Not sure…

Out of interest why are you automating the reverb?

Not personally too sure as I don’t have the plug in, but if it’s a case that you want to automate just the dry/wet, you could put it into a return channel on full wet, then use the send on the channel strip that you want reverbed to act as the dry/wet control which can easily be automated.

@Phil: I was automating the decay and d/w of a synth right before the breakdown

@Roben: Yea, that’s always useful. But I wanted to automate the lo cut and the decay as well as the d/w.

Kinda irritating after dropping serious $ for the thing. I just emailed them.

Thx guys

Its not normal to automate a reverb… turning the controls while playing normally produces a ripping sound.

Im sure there are better easier ways to produce the same results.

I think you should listen to roben. Never heard of anyone trying to automate reverb or you could just resample the reverb and volume/filter fade it out. Hope I understood what you want to achieve.

Cheers.

P-Shot, I’ve got the solution for you. In the little plugin window in Ableton click the arrow to expand the box and then click Configure. Now click the control in Aether to adjust and it will show in the box. Now move this slider around and it will appear in the automation box. Good luck!
