If you ever were thinking of upgrading then now’s definitely the time to do it as I cant see them being this cheap for maybe another 10yrs! lol br

I used to be desperate for a sale like this from fabfilter but with Live 9 is there really a need for their products anymore?
Yes there is. Ableton have improved EQ8 (by copying Fabfilter) but I still prefer Pro-Q.br

Also Pro-L is a fantastic limiter, an entirely different world to the Ableton one. br

Pro-C is really good as well, and volcano. br

Yes. While some of the Live 9 stuff looks a bit like FF stuff, they sound and perform considerably different. I personally prefer the FabFilter stuff. br

BUT, if you’re happy with the Live 9 stuff then stick with it! It’s a creative/workflow decision, there isn’t really a right or wrong, it’s whatever works for you!
