4 O Clock In the Morning (Dean Kenny Remix) (Getting Warmer) by DeanKenny
need to add another break but wana know if its any good so far!
thanks lads!
Well…it’s good…but the vocal sample is not in key with the rest of the track, so either adjust the pitch of the vocal, or change the key of the track and I think it could be great!
yeah thats one thing thats been floatin round these forums that i dont have a clue about… is the ‘Key’ the pitch or what? explain?
there are some good elements and ideas in this track though im not sure on the little coin pop sound
The vocals are definatly out of key you can use a tuner to find out the key of them and then you can put ur synth on the same note
with a bit of a mix down this could be extremely good
great thanks a lot, clearly a lot of work to be done, i havnt even added a groove to it yet! i will sort it all out though! thanks
What sequencer are you using?
I don’t think there’s THAT much to me done…
not going to lie, dont know what you mean by sequencer?
Oh! Haha! Maybe it’s an old fashioned term?
I mean what software do you use? As in Cubase, Ableton, Logic?
hahaa i get you know, i use ableton live… and basically used the sylenth1 for most of it! y?
Repitching the vocal sample in Ableton is easy peasy…and probably a lot easier than changing the key of the rest of the track.
Just make sure the sample is warped (i’m guessing it already is anyway, if not it’s a good way of adjusting the sample to make vocal phrases hit beat). Change the warp method from Beats to Complex, or Complex Pro for formant control. Then adjust the transpose control up or down (up preferably) until it sounds in key, fine tune with the Detune control. Done.
EDIT - I should point out, I’m also very new to this, so if there’s an easier way of doing this, or I’m just completely wrong, please correct me.
i think its a great track. well done.
