64 Bit Mac version failing authorisation in Logic on Mac Pro

Thanks for the great update.br
br
With me, the 64 bit Mac version is failing authorisation with the plugin manager of Logic Pro 9.18 on a Mac Pro, running OSX 10.7.5. The plugin manager crashes every time it attempts to authorise the plugin. br
br
This was also the case with ANA 1.03 I think, from a previous post in the forum, related to Mac Pro’s running Xeon processors?br
br
Any thoughts or ideas?br
br
Many thanks.

Yeah i asked our developer and the short answer was its not fully compatible with xeon chips.br
br
does the 32bit version work?br
br
Ive also read you can bypass the authorization but i cant seem to find out how to do it.

Thank you for the prompt reply.br
br
Yes, the 32 bit version works, but Logic’s 64/32 bridge is very unreliable for me I would rather have the 64 bit version working.br
br
Do you know if the developers are going to fix this? br
br
If the developer has stated that ANA is not compatible with Xeon Processors, perhaps it would be helpful to state that in the system requirements, on the product page, I think a lot of Mac Pro’s are used for making music?br
br
I will do some research on bypassing the plugin manager authorisation, if you come up with any thing please post it. I vaguely recall this being discussed on the Tone 2 forum.br

Cheers

Yeah cool ill ask him again about the problem.

Unfortunately, the post on the Tone2 forum explains how to force logic to ‘see’ a plugin that doesn’t show up in the AU manager, via the terminal, it still has to authorise it after it has found it, so no joy there. Please, please, prove me wrong, but from what I read, if a plugin doesn’t pass authorisation, it can’t work in Logic.br
br
I have over 100 plugins (all 64 bit) from companies ranging from one man outfits to major development studios on this here Mac Pro this is the first time I have come across a plugin that doesn’t like these processors. I expect that it it all major DSP techno babble, but I would be curious to know what the problem is, even if I don’t understand a word of it. :)br
br
Fingers crossed a fix is not to far away.br
br
Cheersbr
br
oh by the way, if you are UK based, thanks for working out of hours.br

we are currently moving platforms for the next ANA update which will hopefully solve the Xeon chip issue - will announce more on the site when we are closer to the release stage.br

Thank you for the update.
