as i dont have the suite version of live what good alternatives are there to operator?
Audio Midi have a no-brainer deal on Big Tick Rhino - normally 99, now 20 bucks.
Its an Audio Midi edition, so its probably a few features lite.
Its FM & has 6 operators - I think… Not sure what the whole tweakability is…

strictly speaking Operator is not an FM synth, Its a Hybrid combining classic analog sound (Subtractive) and frequency modulation (FM) into one synth so to cover everything that Operator could do you’d need a Hybrid synth. The best free Hybrid synth would be Crystal by Green Oak
