Jesus, it’s taken me all afternoon to get the sound (more or less) I wanted with an endless riser.
Now, if someone can tell me how to reproduce Michael Woods’ signature synth sound, I’ll be the happiest man in the world.
It’s the big sound, in this. He has a kind of detuned sound.
Or better heard here at about 4:10. Detuned, pitchy kind of synth
My synthesis skills are poor but I think it’s some kind of square and saw wave combo.
Everything is squares & saws really, innit.
Pitch envelope going down… thats all I can add.
They’re really proggy, trancy sounds… is there nothing ballpark in sylenth that you can moleste to make those terrible sounds? :hehe:
Nah John mate, nothing i could find. Though i have been using Massive a lot more recently Anyway, sorry I put you through listening to that.
Pitch down, that’s interesting. Have to try that.
I think it’s a square wave with a saw or two thickening it up.
On topic on off topic section ban everyone
Get your ban stick out. Lord knows we could all do with a laugh.
In Massive try using the Pulse Width Modulation oscillators and add an envelope with no decay and no sustain and a long attack to the pulsewidth and the wavetable and the pitch (pitch up an octave) and you will get that rising effect and a little bit of morphing you can also add reverb and synced delay on the effects put the dry wet of both to about 10% and add that same envelope to the dry/wet so the reverb is more evident as the attack is reached…play around with the pitch of the oscillators and EQ to remove the very Highs which get buzzy and maybe layer some white noise that is being sidechined or gated
