Upgraded to Ableton 8 this morning. I think overall well worth the money. There are some cool new features, but for me the best improvement is to the underlying sound engine. I've always thought that in the past Ableton didn't produce a really great low end and that in certain ranges it was a little tinny.
I have to say that the difference in the sound between tracks exported from 7 and 8 with identical settings and no mastering chains was quite marked.
Anyone else have any thoughts on this or the upgrade in general?
