Ableton 'Beat Repeat' in another DAW?

Anybody know of any ways to replicate the ‘Beat Repeat’ effect in ableton and do it in another DAW. I.e Logic (as thats my preferred DAW).

Solid Groove aka Switch I think does it a lot in his tunes and have been wanting to use the same delay effect although I always have to rewire ableton to do so.

Any techniques or even a VST that can perform the same effect?

Thanks

Sugarbytes - Effectrix - Which looks v.interesting:

I know Audio Damage do one - Replicant - I’d stay away frm that one though.

I am intrigued now, why would you stay away?

Saying that makes me want to buy it… :w00t:

Its not random enough… its too calculated sounding to my ears.

+1 on effectrix. There are a ton of cool possibilities with that plug in

This one looks dece, yet to test it out

If you have Reaktor someone over on the user forum there has created a near dead on replica of Ableton’s Beat Repeat effect even down to the GUI. This of course mean that Beat Repeat can load as a plug into any DAW supporting VST, AU etc. The link is below…

A lot of NI’s stuff works for 30mins on Demo & you can load & save patches…

Dunno if the Reaktor demo is any different - but you might be able to bounce what you need without having to shell out.

Now if the repeats could pan in 3d space AND we could work out what notes are playing in the chord we’d have a winner surely?
