I know there have been tutorials on alot of DJ stuff, but I would love to see a tutorial on the best way to organize your tunes for DJing.
For example, I have an external drive and would like to organize my tunes in Ableton based on genre (ie: house, techno, breakbeat, etc, etc)
I’m having trouble because when I try to do this inside of Ableton, it creates new folders for each track (creating new sample like shown in the DJ tutorial). I’m trying to avoid this.
I’ve also heard people use iTunes playlists and then import the tracks from there. This moves the files around on my hard drive. i’m trying to avoid that too.
If anyone has any advice, I’d be happy to take it. I’m probably doing something wrong as per usual.
