Ableton doesn't recognize massive

Bought massive, Installed it on my VSTi folder ( .dll file is there ) and I cant open massive with ableton , but It works If I run massive without ableton like any other standalone program , I’ve tried to rescan my VSTi folder and nothing…any advices ?

So long both copies are legal then I would contact both customer support companies

Does it even appear in the list in Ableton?

Are you on a PC or a Mac?

If you are on a PC is it 64bit OS? Have you installed the 32Bit version of Massive?

Happens sometimes with VSTs, no idea why. Try uninstalling and re-installing, sometimes that helps.

It’s probably this. On the money Ant! As Usual.

Thanks UV, although I like Roben’s suggestion too.

A third option is that there are 2 VST folders on you computer, check the full path with the DLL file in and in Ableton carefully.

Actually Ant has hit the nail on this third option, my experience lately for example I moved to 64bit Windows 7 and whilst Ableton installed in my normal Program Files folder, any VSTS i installed kept going inside the Program Files (64) > Ableton > VST rather than Program Files > Ableton > VST. Very easy to not notice, but once i got it back in the right folder, problem sorted.

simple solution to this… If you can see the dll file in your vst folder simply copy it and paste it into the same folder… Rename it massive 2 or something… then do a quick rescan in ableton… I had the exact same problem and i phoned a friend and it worked immediately…
