So I finally bought the full version of Ableton Live 8 yesterday (finally after 4 months), and I need to get a few things figured out.
Okay so I use one-shots from a pack I bought a while back and I have a few problems. When I arrange a kit in the Impulse drum machine, I can only EQ the entire kit, rather than each individual sample. How could I EQ each one shot before putting them into impulse? Or how do I EQ them once they’re in impulse?
To EQ them before Impulse you can set them up in Simpler (another Instrument provided with the Ableton package) and EQ it there.
Record out the result using an Audio Channel with the Monitor set to In designated to the Simpler channel (use the “Audio From” drop down menu).
Set Record on the Audio Channel and press the record button at the top and record what you want out.
Switch the Audio Channel back to Out and then drag it out into one of your Impulse slots.
OR you could use the other method I mentioned in your other post in the Tips & Tricks section:

Good luck with it, Ableton is a FANTASTIC tool once youve learnt to use it. Best move I ever made…
Hey thanks! I almost forgot how powerful simpler is.
Drum Racks makes it much easier to Add FX to individual Channels…
