So, for the most part, Ableton will read the BPM of a track correctly, but some times it gets it off (like way off). For example, “Void 23 (Carl Craig ReEdit)” by Appleblim Ramadanman. The correct BPM of this track is 126, however in Ableton it must be set to 84 in order for it to be heard at it’s correct speed. This becomes majorly problematic when I am DJing and the track I start to fade in sounds like it’s on speed. The only solution I have managed to come up with is set the BPM of ALL of my tracks according to Ableton’s reading, which is pain because I have to go through all 2,000 something tracks I use to DJ with, click, drag, and re label individually. It would be nice if there was a way to fix the track so that Ableton reads it correctly and that I don’t have to label certain tracks with an incorrect BPM. Any suggestions?
Thanks, you guys are always super helpful
You should check the warpping of all your tracks and manually warp any that are wrong. Even if the speed is correct, they probably won’t be eactly right on the kick.
Agreed, the quickest way would be to manually warp the tracks that ableton has problems with then hit the little save button in the sample box at the bottom. it will save the warp info to your .asd file then and will work next time you want it.
The tech tips on warping will help you out no end, it did me
Awesome guys thanks so much!
