Ableton / Logic Pro - EQ

Hello, :)br
br
I have recently downloaded Ableton 9, before that i was using logic pro 9 X.br
Im so used to EQing in every channel on logic so when i came to Ableton i got a little lost on the way it works.br
br
I find that in the tutorials in Ableton people use the auto filter, is there a reason for this or is this the main EQ for Ableton ? does it use less CPU using the filters EQ ?.br
br
Many Thanks br

the main EQ for Ableton is EQ Eight.

Thank you, what is the reason to people using the Autofilter EQ ?

In Ableton 8 and earlier the EQ8 had a fixed curve, 12bd/octave, the Auto-Filter has a steeper curve, 24db/octave. So if you wanted to cut more it was easer to use an Auto-filter./PPIn Live 9 EQ8 has a selectable 12db/oct or 48db/oct curve so it isn’t as needed now./PP
Joshua McEwan (18/03/2014)
Thank you, what is the reason to people using the Autofilter EQ ?
Thanks for the quick reply, thats all my questions answered
