At the moment when I record anything it’s recording straight to the arrangement view… must be a simple little buttom I’m not clicking?!

Thanks howie that is exactly what I’m doing! However, even without doing that it just seemed to play back my notes but not actively record them?
Tech House tutorial just answered my question I think - I wasnt arming the track!
