Hello guys and especially Ableton Live users.
I have a problem with Ableton Software. The problem is that when i try to create a big room house track (ex. : Swedish House Mafia or Fedde le grand style) some sounds are starting to sound washed and sometimes even phasing (like flying uncontrollable in its own space lol). I really dont know what to do. When i tried Cubase the sound was stable and the kick was always present (I am an experienced user, so i can handle pretty good with mixdown and mastering) but cubase is uncomfortable for me. Mostly i have the problem that the synths and the bassline is not strong enough. I use compressors too but its still too weak. I dont want to switch to another program. I tried to create Minimal and Electro House (Dada Life style) with ableton and it sounds way better cuz those are more obvious EDM genres. Also there is much room missing, every sound tries to be in one space. Panning and stereo effects dont help pretty much Help me guys i dont know what to do with it, any suggestions?
Im using: Ableton Suite 8 with 4x 3 Ghz AMD processor and 4gb ram
VSTs: Sylenth1, Nexus, Minimoog, Waves plugins and anything you can imagine to make good sounds lol
i really dont see how it would be a DAW issue that is giving you these ‘washed out’ results. only thing i can think of is that maybe your using the stock plugins in each DAW and you haven’t changed the setting properly.
try some eq on the sounds. they are probably all competing in the same freq range, cut not boost. post an audio example too
