Hey guys so i have recently bought some Acoustic Foam And bass traps for my studio i have marked where i will be putting them but the room im in is practically a balcony its a medium sized room but its surrounded by windows! Windows in front of me, to my right, to my back and a door that leads to my bedroom which is pretty thick so no sound travels over there and disturbs the family…Are the windows going to be an issue?
(i googled before asking so **** off)
Oh yeah and the walls are stucco :?
Yeah, that many windows might pose a bit of a problem, especially if the sweet spot of each window is near ear level, which is most likely the case. I’m certainly not any expert on room treatment, but I do have considerable investments in absorbers and home-made bass traps that have made my studio pretty clean sound wise. I have only one window in the room and I covered the ear-level portion with Auralex.
I know there is a policy here about websites and posting other URLs, but do a search for Ethan Winer, find a message board he is on, and ask him. He’s sort of the “guru” of room treatment and could probably give you some excellent professional advice for free on the message board you find him on. I joined and asked him some questions about bass traps and he was pleasant and very helpful…

Thanks you
If you got auralex, you can send them an email with your room dimensions and they will sketch the best layout for your foam placement.

Wow! imma do that man thanks howie
Probwith auralex stuff is their all foam basesd which dosnt have as good an absorption fatctor and is a total **** to get off your wall if you want to move them.
Check the ghost acoustics stuff… Works out about the same price for a room and is extreemly well made. They show absorption statistics for each peice they sell which many others dont.
