so i watched these ADSR tutorials which were quite good, but there’s still some stuff i’m unsure of when it comes to envelopes.
in sylenth, let’s say i want to make the pitch fall when i release the note (like here), how would i do that? i couldn’t figure it out fiddling with the controls. i assume the envelope would be only release but i wasn’t able to make the pitch descend, nor could i find a good tutorial explaining mod envelopes.
I guess the easiest way is to use a modulation envelope on the pitch of the oscillator and/or LFO to do the same job.
If thats what you mean offcourse :0

can you elaborate a little?
what i’m talking about above was taking mod envelope 1 and setting it to pitch AB and turning up only the release…or is that not how these envelopes work?
Listening to the demo you have supplied its not clear as to what you are referring to.
There is no Release portion of the sound being manipulated by pitch in that clip, there are stops (like Vinyl stops) but thats something completely different to what you are suggestiong.
Obviously i may be missing what you are refering to, so maye a specific time marker in the track might help.

Looking at Sylenth you might try this.
Mod Env 1 - Pitch AB (full negative)
Amp Envelope - Release to taste
Mod Envelope - Automate the decay
mod Envelope - Release to taste (probably best at full)
You will then have a pitch bending tone from wherever you draw in the automation for the Decay on the Mod Envelope.
Hope this helps,
