Hey guys,/PPI am trying to recreate riser that Alesso uses in Calling and Raise Your Head. I haven’t been able to find really any info on it except that it might be from a vengance sample pack./PPThe riser starts at 1:47 on Raise Your Head A href="Alesso - Raise Your Head (Official HD Release) - YouTube"Alesso - Raise Your Head (Official HD Release) - YouTube Calling the riser starts at 1:47 aswell A href="Alesso & Sebastian Ingrosso - Calling (Original Instrumental Mix) - YouTube"Alesso & Sebastian Ingrosso - Calling (Original Instrumental Mix) - YouTube for the help!
I am guessing that you are talking about that “blinking” sound.br
br
There are a few ways you can do something like this. Using an LFO, arp, or just midi notes.br
br
Sylenth is fairly easy. Start out with a good solid saw sound in here, then set the pitch bend to the largest stretch. br
br
I usually just set this in the midi layout mode. I make the synth modulate control a the cutoffs a bit so its kind of a pluck sound. br
do this by Putting a low pass filter on both a and b oscillators and set modulation 1 to control this. push Attack, release, and sustain all the way down and push up the delay a tad bit to get a slight plucky sound (make sure you adjust the amount control to your preferred liking, as well). br
br
now, set modulation 2 to control the pitch of a and b. This will give that bouncing sound to the build. basically do the same settings as you did with the cutoff modulation, but maybe adjust the delay a little more and play with the attack a bit.br
br
now create an 8 bar midi track. for the first four bars, place it every 8th note and then speed it up on the 5th through 7th bar to every 16th note, and then to make it really fast at the end put it on every 24th note for the last 8th bar. Make sure you automate the pitch bend to go up throughout the loop, also. You can also add a high pass filter (using autofilter or something like that) and slowly automate that up to cut out the bassier parts as the pitch increases. br
br
br
if you want to use an LFO, put a low pass on your oscillators in sylenth and set LFO1 to control Cutoff AB. fool around with the amount controls until you hear what you like. make the rate control about 1/16 to 1/24 I think when in sync mode…It will sound kind of like an old fashion siren or a blinking sound. Then, put down a long midi note (between 8 and 16 bars long). You will automate the pitch bend and LFO rate. slowly automate the pitch up and then set the LFO rate slow then jump after 4 to 8 bars up (1/4 to 1/8 to 1/16 to 1/24 maybe)…but make sure it is a solid jump and not a gradual one like you do with the pitch bend. br
br
You can do the same thing with the arp and it’s rate also. br
br
it’s easier to show, but i did my best to type it up, br
Cheers and good luck!br
