Alex Tepper tutorial

I do not agree that SA “how to” tutorials are better than getting information directly from professional producers and musicians. I find that most “how to” tutorials can be found for free on YouTube anyway - and there is a reason why professional producers are professional producers and not working for Sonic Academy (no disrespect - SA is great)

I think it depends what Level you are at… br

Im guessing beginners want to see everything step by step so they can follow along even if they aren’t 100% sure what they are doing , hopefully they learn as they go… intermediate/advanced want to see more concepts and creative ideas etc.br

It’s great to see how the “real” producers do things, especially breakdowns and fills etc, you know, the stuff that gives a track personality! But I also LOVE watching the “how to’s” as it gives you a chance to create a track from scratch, giving you more of an insight into what sounds actually sculpt a genre…br

I think what you guys are doing is great and there’s always going to be people that aren’t happy with the content that’s being put out there. The difference with you guys though is that you actually listen to the feedback you’re getting and are happy to change things around. br

I’ve just renewed my membership for the 3rd year now after taking 2 months out to upgrade my PC (which by the way is now awesome :w00t: ) and can honestly say that I will be doing the same again next year!!br

The subscriber support alone is worth the annual subscription.br

Oh and I definitely think you and Chris should keep doing the tutorials together Phil. He asks the questions that we’re all thinking, which means that all bases are covered and probably a few extra ones as well :cool:br
