br
I figured I’d post a mix of mine, and a mix of where I want to go and see if anyone has any opinions about this:br

Think the other example is compressed a tiny bit more.br
Besides that, have you tried to simply increase the loudness of your track by limiting it with a bit more gain?

I think there are some Issues with your mix. these could be holding it back from sounding more Dynamic.br
br
(Im comparing to the other track you sent me)br
br

  1. you have way more Sub in you track… this will be working against you when you are trying to Buss Compress or Limit. br
    br
Solution. Low Cut your Bass track and kick with 48db cut around 30Hz. or a 24 db at 40HZbr
    br
  2. The Bass sounds undefined its just a subby rumble.br
    br
Solution. Use AMP Env to create a slightly more stabb sound. try turning sustain down lower and adjusting the decay until you hear the punch a bit more.br
    br
You can then use some Multiband compression with all the bands in the Bass Freq Zone to help even out the amount of Sub volume difference Between Notes.br
    br
Or roll some sub of with EQ and add it back on with a Bass exciter… this has the effect of taking the sonic information from a higher harmonic and creating the sub from there. It can help to even out the Sub.br
    br
Sidechain the bass with the kick a bit more.br
    br
    Shorten your kickbr
    br
Your Main Chords and riff sound like they are taking up a wider frequency band compared to the other track. I would look at your layers… strip them back (esp the higher Octaves) and try to define more specific Freqs with them… sounds like a lot of Layers fighting for the same space. br
Clap is getting a bit lost… maybe a brighter clap that hits just before the kick woudl give a bit more definition.br
