… the remix competition is based on a vocal stem? Usually remixes have other stems to go along with it so I’m just wondering if their competition is just very liberal in it’s expectations.

Yeah, I haven’t seen any remix packs with only the acapella available.
I will be interested to hear the remixes created for the competition. The vocal is ok, but this song has been remixed a lot over the years and most of them haven’t done much for me.
Well we’re just going to have to do something a bit different than the typical remixer would then, wouldn’t you say Jay? :D:P

Getting just the acapella in a remix pack isn’t as unusual as you might think. I’ve done several remixes where all I got was the vocal.

yes its just the vocal stem
they want you to be as creative as possible. less parts means you are all less likely to get forced down the same alley
