I load a preset and as long as I play it right away, it sounds great. As soon as I switch devices, the sound that ANA 2 gives is muted. I can barely hear it. It can’t be a DAW issue because none of my other VSTs does this. What’s going on?

Is this happening each time you click Play/Stop ( or press your keyboard space-bar ) inside your DAW ?

Are you on a Mac or on a PC ?
You might have a Midi CC assignment to your keyboard Space-bar, try to delete your .settings file and restart your DAW to see if it solves the issue.
On a MAC :
Navigate to ~/Library/Application Support/Sonic Academy/ANA 2 and delete your ANA 2.settings file
→ This is your User Library, from your Desktop Shift + Cmd + G or Finder Menu–>Go–>Go to Folder… and Copy/Paste the above path.
On a PC :
Navigate to C:/Users/Your_Username/AppData/Roaming/Sonic Academy and delete your ANA 2.settings file
→ The AppDData folder might be hidden by default on Windows, you’ll need to Reveal Hidden Files & Folders
