Hello,
Todya i updated fl studio like i always do since last 10 years, and suddenly ANA 2 is not working,
I can still open it if it’s inside an existing project but when i want to ADD an ANA 2 instance it say it cannot be found, and when i scan with the plugin manager it’s not showing in there anymore, as it was before !
I think by default you have this option in FL Preferences/Plugins manager where you combine VST2 and VST3, so when a plugin has this feature enable and when this option is ON inside FL settings, you will only see the VST3 yes.
The plugin has an internal feature to favorite the use of the VST3 over VST2 when both plugins format are installed.
Although I would expect this feature to be bypassed when you turn this setting OFF inside FL studio, I’m not sure it’s enough.
Check the VST2 installation path first ( see info below ), and if the VST 2 is in the same folder where-from FL Studio is scanning your VST 2 plugins and if you still don’t see the VST 2, you will need to remove the VST 3.
That said, unless you absolutely want to use the VST 2, there’s no difference and no reason not to use the VST 3, to be honest it’s more the opposite.
Check the Path where FL studio is scanning for your VST2 plugins and make sure that ANA 2 VST 2 plugin is installed in the same directory.
By default the installer will install the VST 2 in :
C:/Program Files/VSTPlugins —> ANA2 x64.dll
( an alternative installation path could be C:/Program Files/Steinberg/VSTPlugins depending of your FL Studio settings install ).
Hello so i managed to make it work by putting the vsts in one of the default folders of the plugin manager of fl studio, and it work… seems like you just can’t have custom folders anymore
