Hello !!
i’ve never had any problem with ana 2 when updating fl studio and stuff, but lately i made an update of FL and the problem is that nowadays they ask to put the vst folder OUTSIDE the main fl studio folder (where i used to install all my plugins for the last 10 years)
It used to be like this
D:\FL Studio 20\VST 64\Generators\UHE etc etc…
Now with the latest updates i had to move it move it baby to
D:\VSTS\Generators
But now when i open a saved project PAST the updates … ana 2 put on every instruments the classical " A beautiful dread " preset… where i had of course another one setup.
I need help to make this work again please…
Something that might help with my case is the fact that i can’t load ANA 2 anymore by going to the ADD tab and select ANA 2 as it say : The plugin ANA2 x64 is missing. Please make sure it was installed correctly.
I can load it by going to ADD => More plugin and then select ANA2, however it load correctly when i open a ancient project so i’m a bit lost here but i thought it could be a lead is that case…
Thanks much !!
Have you manually moved the ANA 2 VST plugin or have you reinstalled ANA 2 ??
→ If you’ve reinstalled, unless you manually set the installation path during installation, the VST2 and VST3 plugins will be installed in the default location you’re presented with in the installer.
Are you using the VST2 or the VST3 plugin ?
→ Which format was used with those previous projects ?
Not that well familiar with FL Studio here, but I’m not sure it’s a requirement to move your plugins since you can set custom paths to have FL Studio scanning for your plugins inside FL Plugins Manager.
If you’re receiving an error message like “The plugin ANA2 x64 is missing. Please make sure it was installed correctly” then it’s likely because the ANA 2 plugin was moved in a path that FL Studio is not scanning.
You should be able to change this inside FL Studio Plugin manager.
Also not clear to me if you’re using the VST2 or the VST3 plugin and which one was used in those previous projects.
There’s an option to Combine VST3 and VST2 plugin inside FL Studio Plugin Manager that might come into play as well maybe.
Suggest you check this FL Studio manual page as well :
Installing Plugins
