Doesn’t recall presets (and automation states) in Bitwig when reopening a project (randomly, but most often it doesn’t recall). Right now it switched to init just after deactivating and re-activating the audio engine. Version 2.5.5
Still no HiDPI aware (Windows).
Such good sounds and I’m sampling the synth because I can’t trust is going to open next time I’m working on the project.
Looking into this Bitwig issue ( on a Mac at the moment ) and trying to replicate here : unless the Audio Engine is going to OFF, I can reopen a Bitwig Project with ANA 2 and it will recall the preset and automation lines.
Now if the Audio Engine goes OFF, after re-activating it, ANA 2 reverts to the INIT preset.
That’s also happening inside a brand new project even before saving and trying to reopen & recall :
1 - New Bitwig Project → Launch an instance of ANA 2
2 - Select a preset
3 - Turn the Audio Engine OFF in Bitwig and ANA 2 is disable ( normal behavior )
4 - Turn the Audio Engine ON again in Bitwig and ANA 2 reverts to the INIT Preset.
Also not sure why there’s a “Program” automation mapping appearing for ANA 2 by default since the plugin is not supposed to handle Program Change ( at least not Midi CC Program Changes ), this can be something else reporting the preset, but it’s actually changing ANA 2 presets when you move that knob, and that’s also the parameter that’s reverting to INIT after turning the Audio Engine OFF/ON, so could be related.
Will test further and push this to the developers.
Not sure this will happen with ANA 2, need to ask the developers though.
Just to point out that even if the changelog in 2.5.6 says that the Bitwig issue has been solved, It’s still going on here, in Bitwig 5.3.13 and ANA 2.5.6 (Windows).
Regardless of the preset, if I deactivate ANA (not just turn off, complete deactivation), and re-activate it, it swicthes to init.
It’s the VST3 version that still has the bug, VST2 version loads correctly.

Are you using the ANA 2 V2.5.6 VST3 on a Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC by the way ?

Can’t seem to be able to replicate this issue here unfortunately 
Tested on Windows 11 Pro 24H2 ( and also now up to date latest 25H2 ) and Bitwig 5.3.13 with ANA 2 V2.5.6 VST3
I loaded the same preset as you “Mini Template” ( and also tested other presets ).
Deactivate the Track and reactivate → ANA 2 keeps the same preset, so recalling well.
Also tried with deactivating the Audio Engine and reactivating, same results → Preset is recalling

So the only difference seems to be the Windows 11 version.
Are you sure there’s no left over files from a previous ANA 2 version ?
Have you tried to redownload and re-install latest ANA 2 V2.5.6 from your account ?
So I re-downloaded the latest version. And I made a clean install (clean data folder with GUI, Presets, Settigs, Waves). It works. When I place back my old folder, the same behavior. Apparently If i load randomly my own presets, eventually it triggers the init thingy. Only for my presets, not for factory. So I think the fix is not complete.

Hmm, yeah bit weird this. Seems quite random indeed, could be either something wrong with your user presets or something else with the presets browser and loading presets.
We’ll look further into this here and try to replicate with my own User presets and also yours to see if it might be presets related 
I notice the presets that it’s happening on there for you have missing files in the sampler OSCs.
Perhaps try linking them up to see if that makes any difference.
I can try that, although I’m a bit tight with time, but even if it turns out to be true, that’s really not a solution. If I’m opening a project next year, my preset library is bigger, one single preset doesn’t have a sample and the instances would revert to init because of that. It’s just not feasible. by the way, I updated to the latest Windows version (24H2), and the bug still persists. Of course, all Bitwig caches properly cleared.
At the moment it seems some of your User Presets are corrupted because of this unfortunately.
Try relinking your missing samples and then RESAVE your User Preset(s) using Save As and make sure to overwrite the previous User Preset(s).
I removed al the presets with missing samples. Bug still persists. The browser basically selects the first preset in the presets list. If I remove the “- init -” preset, it will default to whatever preset has a number in front
But then it’s not happening with your Factory Presets right ?
So default something wrong with those User Presets.
Have you used the Slate Digital version of ANA 2 before ?
( noticed many of your presets have related names to SD presets ).
Can you notice other Missing Files asking for “Relink”, but for the Waves Oscillators ( left ) this time when you load your User Presets ??
My guess is that you’re missing files from a previous Slate Digital install.
Although I’m on a Mac using Bitwig 6 beta at the minute, I have no issue with your User Presets after updating Slate Digital factory + Expansion packs, I can load your User Presets, deactivate the Audio Engine or Deactivate ANA 2 and reactivate and ANA 2 is reloading the correct preset, no revert to Init.
Check this for this User Preset for example → “Eastern Pluck Sevenn”
1 - Can you see the “JUPITER 8 SQUARE” name in the waveform OSC 1 or is it missing ??
2 - If the file is present ( not missing ) you’ll see it’s location in the expanded view of the files browser.
This is default a waveform from Slate Digital, not present with a default installation with the Sonic Academy version.
Check your DM on the forums 
It’s something with the browser. I made extra copies of Sonic Academy Factory and it triggers the bug every time. No other user presets. VST2 works fine even in these conditions.
